Along with
the advancement of the technology in every field it becomes easier for every
one to work with the things. But at this time theirs a requirement of allowing
a particular person to avail a particular service or mark his authentication in
order to prove that he/she is the authenticated person to avail that particular
service. This is mainly for the purpose that any service which is sensitive in
nature and must not be easily accessed by any user until he/she is specially
having authentication rights to avail that service.
But there is
an issue that how to prove the authentication of a particular person at a
particular place. For this the best and
the most optimal way is to get something for verification which is found
uniquely in each and every person.
Biometric
features corresponding to any human is unique and can be used to verify an
individual human uniquely, but to use those biometric features of any human is
somehow difficult as for that special hardware consisting of biometric sensors
are employed. These sensors are used to capture the exact biometric readings of
a human.
In this
project a similar type of biometric feature is used, The Finger Print of any
human which is unique in itself corresponding to that individual human. The
sensor used over in this project is from ‘Nitgen’, which is used to capture the
image of fingers.
In this
project a database is build to store the images of the fingers with the id no.
and another database is build to store the data of the humans along with the
same id as of the finger in the database of finger print. While enrolling the
finger of any individual in the database he/she have to give his detail and
also the image of his/her finger, for which a unique ID is assigned to it so
that they can b linked and verified by that ID.
While
verification the name list of enrolled people is shown on the side of the
application window on which name have to be selected after which image of the
enrolled finger is taken again and is compared to the finger image in database,
When the finger is verified the application shows a dialog box which shows the
message that the individual is verified and also up to what level it verified
the person on the basis of comparison.
